Abstract
Growth of 16 strains of oligotrophic bacteria from different taxonomic groups was investigated at low, optimal, and increased temperatures. Typical representatives of oligotrophic bacteria showed good growth at low temperatures. At 37-degrees-C growth of most cultures was suppres sed or absent.
