THE ABUNDANCE OF RE ELEMENTS IN MAIN LITH OLOGICAL ROCK TYPES OF THE RUSSIAN PLATFORM SEDIMENTARY COVER

The modified estimates of RE abundances in three main lithological sed imentray rock types of the Russian platform (clays; sandstones; carbon ate rocks) is presented. Bulk generalised samples were comprised of ne arly 30.000 samples of different age (R3-Q) taken from separate beds s ampled in bore holes and exposures along the whole area. Samples were analysed using the mass-spectral technique with the isotopic dilution. New estimates were used in the comparative analyses with average RE a bundances in similar sedimentary rock types of other regions; the infl uence of mineralogical composition on the RE peculiarities in rocks is evidenced; view RE abundance estimates are proposed as the reference data for the geochemical modeling.
