Abstract
The experimental method of organic matter investifation is carried out . The method is based on the carbon isotopic composition analysis of p yrolysis organic matter fractions. This technique allows the identific ation of hydrocarbon migration traces as well as the mixing of organic phases of different sources and evidence of solid carbon matter synth esis from the hydrocarbon fluids. The principles of interpretation of analysical data are considered in relation to free organic phases and disseminated organic matter in rocks. The possibilities of new techniq ue in concern with organic matter studies of oil basins and hydrotherm al active zones are discussed.
