Abstract
Citronellol esterification catalyzed by Candida antarctica lipase is p erformed with high yields (74%) in a solvent-free medium. The use of d essicants gives a 10% yield enhancement and substrate excess consumpti on by adding calculated amounts of acetic acid lead to a 80% pure citr onellyl acetate. Quantities up to 100 ml are treated with success.
