GRISEOFULVIN THERAPY OF PATIENTS WITH LIC HEN-PLANUS

Griseofulvin therapy was administered to 17 patients with various clin ical manifestations of lichen planus, including 1.1 with nail changes combined with characteristic papulous changes of the skin and buccal m ucosa, 2 with papulous lichen planus without onycho-dystrophies, 2 wit h verrucose forms of lichen with infection foci on the nail walls and palms, and 2 with Lassauer-Little's syndrome. The authors emphasize th at the efficacy of griseofulvin therapy of lichen planus depends on th e process duration and type and on the drug combination with other the rapeutic measures, such as histoglobulin injections, courses of dodecy l sulfate, nail cleaning and intermittent rubbing into nail walls of s teroidal creams and compositions including vitamin A and 1-2 % salycil ic acid.
