Abstract
We have analyzed the behavior of a semiconductor laser subjected to in creasing external injection. Numerical simulations show the well-known nonlinear modulation and locking regimes, followed by an intermediate chaotic region that precedes definitive locking to the external sourc e at significantly higher injection levels.
