CORRECTED EXPRESSION FOR THE HEAT OF TRANSPORT

An expression for the heat of transport is derived from the linear res ponse expressions for the phenomenological coefficients of non-equilib rium thermodynamics. It comprises an equilibrium ensemble average term which is identical with that in Kirkwood transport theory and a term containing a time correlation function. The derivation modifies and co rrects an earlier one which led to an incorrect expression for the tim e correlation function.
