Abstract
Environmental concerns for waste disposal, increased costs and expecte d restrictions on landfills, and a mandated effort for recycling resou rces have all inspired an interest in alternative waste disposal proce sses. This article describes the development of a low-tech composting system for blue crab processing waste as an alternative to landfill di sposal.
