Abstract
Cation radicals, generated from alpha-stannyl sulfides by the photoind uced single electron transfer, cleave into alpha-alkylthio radical int ermediates with the elimination of the stannyl group. The alpha-alkylt hio radicals thus formed are utilized for carbon-carbon bond forming r eactions.
