It was detected that disparity between size of salt and flush water dr
ops led to increased consumption of the latter, and, as a result, to l
ow efficiency of its utilization and high salt content in market oil.
The authors developed electrical pulverizing devices EPA which have no
analogy abroad. In such devices flush water under the influence of el
ectrical field of high intensity is pulverized in oil through small di
ameter holes in the form of very little drops. The article contains th
e results of experiments on oil desalting using EPA--3000 device. The
obtained results allowed the management of Tatneft Production Associat
ion to make a decision about utilization of such devices in all Produc
tion Departments of Association.
