A new procedure for simultaneously determining the thermal conductivit
y in the direction of two main axes of anisotropy and the integral hem
ispherical emissivity of the surface of conducting materials is descri
bed. A number of questions are discussed that arise during experimenta
l implementation of this method in a facility with thyristor control o
f sample heating.
