Abstract
The paper is devoted to research and development in the field of chalc ogenide glass chemical sensors for determination of heavy metal ions i n solution. The overview of the solid-state scientific approach and re search design of the sensing materials is followed by the original res ults of the analytical application of the chalcogenide glass sensors f or laboratory analysis, industrial control and environmental monitorin g.
