Abstract
The action of Ramularia coriandri M. et Sm. on the generation of free oxygen radicals and on the fatty acid composition of total lipids in t he leaves of coriander plants (Coriandrum sativum L.) was studied. The infection activates the generation of superoxide oxygen radicals at t he early stages of disease development. The fraction of polyunsaturate d fatty acids in the total lipids was lower in the infected leaves. Th e possible mechanisms of R. coriandri action that damages coriander pl ants are discussed.
