Abstract
The synthesis of 2-aminoimidazole marine metabolites has induced vario us studies on the reactivity of the imidazole nucleus, especially in p ositions 2 and 4(5); these studies were helpful to prepare naturally o ccurring clathrodine and 3'-amino-1'-[2-aminoimidazol-4(5)-yl]-prop-2' -ene.
