Abstract
Interaction of aluminum powders with atmospheric oxygen was studied us ing O-18(2) and (H2O)-O-18 in the temperature range 20-400-degrees-C. At low temperatures, the interaction of aluminum with oxygen begins af ter an induction period. The activation energies of reactions of powde red aluminum with oxygen and water vapor have been determined.
