Abstract
The applicability and effectiveness of the powder-free method for manu facturing the positive and negative plates of a lead/acid battery have been studied. The active material of the plate was produced by electr ochemical treatment of a lead support under pressure. A sealed battery with those plates was found to have excellent specific characteristic s, and the production cost was low.
