Ag. Morachevskii et al., APPLICATION OF IDEAL ASSOCIATED SOLUTION MODEL TO LIQUID-METAL SYSTEMS WITH POSITIVE AND SIGN-VARIABLE DEVIATIONS FROM RAOULTS LAW, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 66(9), 1993, pp. 1542-1545
The ideal associated solution (IAS) model was used to describe the con
centration dependence of thermodynamic functions of a number of liquid
metal systems with positive and sign-variable deviations from Raoult'
s law. For systems with positive deviations, only the formation of ass
ociates of like species was taken into account, while for those with s
ign-variable deviations, associates of both like and unlike species we
re considered. The most probable set of associates was chosen based on
an analysis of standard deviations and the uniformity of distribution
of the divergence over the entire concentration range, and also with
due regard for the actual possibility for an associate to be formed in
the solution.
