Abstract
Optical transmission of microwave signals is becoming increasingly imp ortant Techniques using the beat between optical carriers of semicondu ctor lasers are promising if efficient optical phase-locked loops (OPL L) are realized. This paper reports on a highly efficient GaAs MMIC op toelectronic phase detector for a 2 to 10 GHz OPLL.
