Abstract
The sintering of Sr-hexaferrite has been carried out with slow and fas t heating rates and the resultant variation of exaggerated grain growt h investigated. The exaggerated grain growth was observed to occur in the presence of a liquid phase, and the fast heating resulted in a hig h initiation rate for exaggerated grain growth.
