Abstract
A nonlinear boundary value problem is studied whose bifurcation struct ure yields an arbitrarily large number of solutions as the parameters are varied appropriately. The result is applied to certain model equat ions for chemical reactors of the plug flow type. (C) 1994 Academic Pr ess, Inc.
