Abstract
Minimum air temperature is used as an index to study the effect of cli mate on the daily distances moved by male leopards of equal hunger sta tus in the southern Kalahari. An inverse linear relationship existed b etween minimum air temperatures and daily distances moved. The implica tions of these results on studies of the activity patterns (movements) of these leopards and possible avenues for future research are discus sed.
