Abstract
Illustrated keys are provided to the four families and 49 genera of th e insect suborder Terebrantia (Thysanoptera) known from Central Americ a, with emphasis on Panama and Costa Rica. Brief notes we given on the biology of the species of each genus, some of which can be serious pe sts in agriculture and horticulture.
