Some preliminary results of one [1] of the four [2] experiments carrie
d out at the Holifield Heavy-Ion Research facility with the 20-Compton
suppressed Ge detector close-packed ball are presented. As a result o
f reduction procedures on the gamma-gamma matrices, the set of indepen
dent yields of correlated pairs of fission fragments for the charge di
vision Z(L)/Z(H) = 42/56 (Mo/Ba) is presented. A preliminary value of
the mean neutron multiplicity nu(Mo/Ba)BAR = 4.0 +/- 0.1 and a probabi
lity distribution of the neutron multiplicity up to 10 emitted prompt
neutrons was also obtained for this charge division.
