Abstract
A dynamical model, which takes into account all stages of fission indu ced by stopped antiprotons (atomic cascade, intranuclear cascade, evap oration cascade, fission of a compound nucleus, and evaporation from f ission fragments), has been formulated. In particular, the dynamics of the descent of fissioning nuclei from the saddle point to the scissio n point has been described by the diffusion model. The data on pBAR-in duced fission have been analyzed in the framework of this model and a good agreement between the experiment and theory has been observed.
