M. Aizawa et al., FORMATION OF POROUS CALCIUM-PHOSPHATE FILMS ON ALPHA-AL2O3 SUBSTRATESBY SPRAY-PYROLYSIS TECHNIQUE, Nippon Seramikkusu Kyokai gakujutsu ronbunshi, 102(8), 1994, pp. 732-736
Porous calcium phosphate films could be formed on alpha-Al2O3 substrat
es by spray-pyrolysis technique. The use of calcium metaphosphate as a
hinder was effective to enhance the binding strength of calcium phosp
hate films to substrates. The films obtained by spray-pyrolyzing the s
tarting solutions were heated at a temperature between 1000 and 1400-d
egrees-C for 5h. The crystalline phase of the heated films was mainly
beta-calcium orthophosphate. The thickness of this film was dependent
on the spraying time and the pore sizes were about 15 mum.
