Abstract
Palladium(0)-catalyzed alkylation of various allylic carbonates by aro matic thiols allowed the easy preparation of various allylic aryl sulp hides in quite good yields. The reaction was regioselective with subst itution at the less hindered side of the pi-allyl system whatever the temperature of the reaction, and was diastereoselective with net reten tion of configuration.
