Abstract
Over a 7-year period 158 nonsurgical patients with an advanced esophag eal cancer were treated by palliation. The initial success rate was 79 % and the complications rate was 2.3%. Average improvement duration wa s 136 days. Tumors were mostly situated in lower and middle part of oe sophagus.
