Abstract
A frequency-division-multiplexed optical switching system is demonstra ted with 5Gbit/s data in 16 channels. The frequency spacing of each ch annel is 100GHz. A superstructure-grating distributed-Bragg-reflector laser and an arrayed-waveguide grating multiplexer are, respectively, used as the tunable light source and the optical router.
