Abstract
An experimental optical WDM reconfigurable ring network is proposed. i t is composed of three nodes incorporating tunable channel dropping re ceivers (TCDRs) and EDFAs. The reconfiguration and the protection of t he ring are computer-controlled. The authors present first experimenta l results of a fully connected testbed demonstrator.
