T. Loiseau et al., SYNTHESIS AND X-RAY STRUCTURAL DETERMINATION OF A NEW HYDROXYGALLOPHOSPHATE GA3P3O12(OH), H3C-NH2-CH3 ISOTYPIC WITH ALPO4-21, Journal of solid state chemistry, 111(2), 1994, pp. 397-402
Ga3P3O12(OH), H3C-NH2-CH3 was obtained by hydrothermal synthesis (453
K, autogeneous pressure, 24 hr) from a mixture of Ga2O3, P2O5, HF, dim
ethylamine and H2O in the ratio 1:1:2:2:80. It is monoclinic (space gr
oup P2(1)/n (No. 14)) with a = 8.787(1) angstrom, b = 17.783(3) angstr
om, c = 9.204(1) angstrom, beta = 109.56(1)degrees, V = 1355.2(5) angs
trom3, Z = 4. It belongs to the AlPO4-21 (or GaPO4-C4) structure type.
The three-dimensional network is built up from corner-linked [Ga3(PO4
)3(OH)] units composed of three PO4 tetrahedra, two trigonal bipyramid
s, and one tetrahedron of gallium. As previously described, the framew
ork delimits three-, four-, five-, and eight-membered rings. The proto
nated amine is inserted in the eight-membered tunnels which are along
[100] and [001]. The hydrogen bonding scheme is discussed. (C) 1994 Ac
