Abstract
This is a report on the structures of four cocrystals containing a dif unctional amine or phenol with phenol or aniline, respectively. Three different hydrogen-bond patterns are observed and analysed. The materi als are piperazine-2phenol, C4H10N2.2(C6H6O), P2(1)/n, a = 6.750(1) an gstrom, b = 16.651(2) angstrom, c = 7.017(3) angstrom, beta = 100.49(3 )-degrees, Z = 2; trans-2,5-dimethylpiperazine.2phenol, C6H14N2.2(C6H6 O),P2(1)/c, a = 6.481(9) angstrom, b = 19.371(9) angstrom, c = 7.270(3 ) angstrom, beta = 104.2(1)-degrees, Z = 2; ethylenediamine.2phenol, C 2H8N2.2(C6H6O), Pbca, a = 18.125(5) angstrom, b = 7.842(3) angstrom, c = 9.815(7) angstrom, Z = 4; hydroquinone.2aniline, C6H6O2.2(C6H7N), P 2(1)/c, a = 18.744(4) angstrom, b = 5.386(l) angstrom, c = 8.219(2) an gstrom, beta = 102.49(3)-degrees, Z = 2.
