Abstract
A new 9,11-secosteroid, stellettasterol (1) was isolated from a Japane se marine sponge, Stelletta sp.; its structure was determined by spect roscopic analysis. All NMR signals of 1 were unambiguously assigned by application of various 2D NMR techniques. Stellettasterol exhibited a ntifungal activity against Moltieralla ramannianus.
