Dd. Mishin et Kp. Skokov, EFFECT OF HEAT-TREATMENT ON THE COERCIVE FORCE OF PERMANENT-MAGNETS OF THE ND-TB(DY)-FE-B TYPE, Russian metallurgy. Metally, (4), 1996, pp. 92-94
The effect of heat treatment (quenching from 300 - 600 degrees C) on t
he coercive force and residual induction of permanent magnets of the N
d - Tb (Dy) - Fe - B -type was studied. The cooling rate in water and
oil was chosen to be 300 degrees C. The extrenmal variation of the coe
rcive force was found. with a maximum near 25 - 30%. The coercive forc
e increases from 13.2 to 16.8 kA/cm for the specimens of (Nd0.9Dy0.1)(
16)Fe76B8 magnets and from 16.8 to 20.0 kA/cm for the (Nd0.9Tb0.1)Fe76
B8 specimens. The residual induction remains nearly unchanged.
