Ev. Rusinova, COHERENT EEG-ANALYSIS OF TRACE PROCESSES IN ANIMAL HYPNOSIS IN RABBITS, Zurnal vyssej nervnoj deatelnosti im. I.P. Pavlova, 44(3), 1994, pp. 541-547
Dynamics of structural changes of coherent relations between electrica
l activity of sensorimotor and premotor corticala reas of both cerebra
l hemispheres during and after <<animal hypnosis>> was studied by spec
tral-correlative analysis in rabbits. it was shown that <<animal hypno
sis>> had very long-lasting trace processes i.e., hypnotic structure o
f coherent relations of electrical activity in the cerebral cortex was
maintained during several days. During and after a hypnotic episode i
nterhemispheric asymmetry of electrical activity arose being more expr
essed in the delta-range in the left hemisphere. <<Centers of animal h
ypnosis>> were able to sum not only the effects of repeated hypnotic e
pisodes but also excitation induced by sound stimuli immediately after
hypnotic period and in the following days. Focus of stable activity w
ith dominant properties was formed in CNS during <<animal hypnosis>>.
