Abstract
The reaction of eta2-phosphino- or eta2-thiocarbene complexes of molyb denum and tungsten with sodium thiocyanate provides high yields of met alla(phospha/thia)bicyclo[1.1.0]butanone compounds. The structures of the new bicyclic complexes were determined by spectroscopic investigat ions and, in the case of 6b, additionally by X-ray analysis.
