Abstract
UI3, obtained by reaction at high temperature of uranium metal with io dine and zinc, and U(O-2,4,6-Me3C6H2)3THF, prepared by reacting UCl3(T HF)x with NaO-2,4,6-Me3C6H2 in the molar ratio 1:3, have been tested a s catalysts in aldolisation reactions of a ketene silyl acetal with ar omatic and aliphatic aldehydes and ketones, at room temperature in THF .
