Abstract
Recent spectroscopy and photometry of the planetary nebula N66 (SMP 83 ) in the Large Magellanic Cloud show a continuing evolution, with a ce ntral WR spectrum becoming more visible. The planetary nebula shell an d WR star have velocities which differ by approximately 240 km s-1. Pr operties of this interesting object are reviewed, and we discuss its p ossible X-ray detection by ROSAT.
