Abstract
A single diastereomer of [Mo(NO){HB(Me2pz)3}(Cl){(-)-mentholate}] reac ts with 4-nitrophenol to produce only racemic [Mo(NO){B(Me2pz)3(Cl)(OC 6H4-4-NO2)]. The compounds [Mo(NO){HB(Me2pz)3} (X){(-)-2-OCH2CH(Me)C10 H6-6-OMe}] [X = Cl, I, (-)-2-OCH2CH(Me)C10H6-6-OMe, NHC6H3-3-Me-4-{N = NC6H4-4'-(eta5-C5H4)Fe (eta5-C5H5)}] and HC6H3-3-Me-4-{N=NC6H-4'-(eta 5-C5H4)Fe(eta5-C5H5)}] {OC27H45 = (-)-cholesteryl} which contain chira l ligands have been synthesized as mixtures of diastereomers.
