Abstract
The reaction of alpha-arylhydrazononitrile 1 with hydrazine hydrate, p henylhydrazine, mercaptoacetic acid, ethylene diamine, o-phenylene-dia mine, o-aminothiophenol and o-aminophenol is described to give the cor responding pyrazolthioles 3, 4 and the corresponding azoles 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9, respectively. Also compound 1 reacts with malononitrile, ethyl cyanoacetate and phenylisothiocyanate to give the corresponding azines , 10, 11 and 12, respectively.
