Abstract
The meltwater discharges have been separated into englacial and subgla cial components on the basis of electrical conductivity. EC was taken as the indicator of meltwater composition and was monitored during the periods from 28 August to 20 September 1992 and 23 October to 17 Nove mber in 1993. The EC of bulk meltwaters emerging at the snout of the g lacier varied diurnally and is out of phase with discharge fluctuation s, depending on the proportions of the components routed through diffe rent glacial conduit systems.
