Abstract
Spectroscopic observations, performed with a camera equipped with an i mage tube on the 1-m Zeiss reflector in Assakh (Kazakhstan) on May 8, 9, and 10, 1986, were used to determine the physical parameters of neu tral gas in Halley's comet (1986 III): production rates of C2, C3, and CN molecules; characteristic free lengths for parent and daughter mol ecules: and outflow velocities of comet molecules.
