R. Taranko, EFFECT OF CORRELATED HOPPING ON CHARGE-TRANSFER IN ATOM SCATTERING ONMETAL-SURFACES, Physica status solidi. b, Basic research, 199(2), 1997, pp. 393-401
The effect of correlated hopping on the charge transfer in atom-surfac
e scattering is studied with use of the time-dependent generalized And
erson-Newns model within the equation of motion method. The calculatio
ns of the charge state of the scattered atoms are performed for a simp
le time dependence of the parameters entering the model within the wid
e band approximation. A considerable reduction of the expectation valu
es of the negative charge state of scattered atoms for increasing stre
ngth of correlated hopping is observed. In comparison with results obt
ained within the standard Anderson-Newns model, the time oscillations
of these expectation values are enhanced and the equilibrium value is
achieved at longer time intervals.
