Abstract
By bringing lactose into contact with octanol in the presence of beta- galactosidase and almond meal with a beta-glucosidase activity, it is possible to simultaneously synthesize the octylglycosides correspondin g to the two hexoses of the disaccharide. The reaction is optimized us ing an experimental plan.
