Abstract
We study the influence of a phonon heat bath on the dynamics of a two- state system in terms of a cumulant expansion. With rising temperature , we find a crossover to incoherent motion. By calculating corrections to the noninteracting blip approximation, we show that, above a tempe rature T-0, blip-blip interactions contribute significantly to the rat e.
