Abstract
Hexabarium tetravanadium pentaoxide undecasulfide, Ba6V4O5S11, contain s isolated VS43-, VOS33-, and VO2S23- tetrahedra separated by Ba2+ ton s. The V-S and V-O bond distances are in the range 2.102 (5)-2.175 (3) Angstrom and 1.682 (9)-1.722 (7) Angstrom, respectively. The shortest V-S distances are associated with the VS43- tetrahedra whereas the lo ngest V-S distances are found in the VO2S23- tetrahedra.
