Abstract
First measurements of the angular distributions of autoionization elec trons from 2p(5)3s3p2D5/2 state of Na atom excited by electron impact from the ground and laser excited 3p2P3/2 state are reported. Strong a nisotropy of the angular distribution is revealed, which has different signs for the excitation from the ground and excited states. Theoreti cal analysis based on the Born approximation is given.
