Abstract
]-mu(3)-(4,4,4-trifluorobutaneheptayl)-tetrairon(3 Fe-Fe), [{Fe(CO)(3) }(3)-{mu(3)-CC[Fe(CO)(2)Cp]C(CF3)}] (Cp is eta(5)-C5H5) contains a tri angular {Fe(CO)(3)}(3) core [Fe-Fe distances 2.482(1), 2.663(1) and 2. 693(1)Angstrom] linked via an unusual C3CF3 bridging unit to an Fe(CO) (2)Cp group.
