Abstract
Double-charge-transfer spectroscopy has been employed to determine the energies of low-lying triplet states of the CH3COCH32+ ion. The groun d state was determined to have an energy of 29.6 +/- 0.2 eV vertically above that of the ground-state molecule. The double-charge-transfer s pectrum has been interpreted with the aid of ab initio Hartree-Fock ca lculations.
