Abstract
The rate of the energy transfer between electrons and ions is calculat ed in the dynamically disordered thermal spikes. The derivation is don e from the first principles and the underlying microscopic model is de tailed. It is argued, that the dynamical disorder does not affect the energy transfer rates calculated for the crystalline medium.
