Abstract
Owing to choherence effects, undulator radiation is energy-angle corre lated with a quasi-monochromatic central cone of very small divergence . In correct combination, the energy-dependent responses of a filter a nd photodiode can aid in spatially resolving this radiation. Experienc e and measurements with a filter-photodiode monitor, gained over sever al years of monitoring radiation from the SSRL/LBL undulator on the Al addin storage ring, are presented. Modeling of the detection process i s described together with comparison to the data.
